Katie Skene is a singer - guitar slinger - songwriter whose music blends the soul of the South and the spirit of the West Coast to create a sound she calls Cosmic Swamp Americana. Originally raised in the blues scene of Tallahassee, FL, Katie spent over a decade playing in the California Jam Band scene before recently relocating to Nashville, TN. Through the prism of Katie's evocative vocals, personal songwriting and compelling guitar work, her band blends electric southern-fried blues and jam-band experimentation with a joyful, incendiary energy. Their performance incorporates funky far-out synths, soaring southern-fried guitar, colorful keyboards and intoxicating blues-drenched vocals, all laid over a deeply pocketed groove. Their music revives the spirit of bands like The Allman Brothers Band and Grateful Dead, maintaining an unpredictable quality that still feels familiar. ​

Singer, songwriter Max Kasch’s earliest inspiration came from the radio. At night on his families farm in The Upper Ojai valley of California he would listen to the crackle of airwaves and dream up  worlds . Drawing through lines from such writers as Randy Newman, Bob Dylan, John Steinbeck and Los Lobos, Max aims to capture the great clashing of the immensity of the edge of the continent with the Pacific Ocean and the many people called and compelled by this land.
